MBC Chairman & CEO Willie E. Gary Brings Making Better Communities To Florida

Willie E. Gary and Patient Prominent attorney and cable television executive Willie E. Gary, along with his partners, boxing champion Evander Holyfield, baseball great Cecil Fielder and broadcast veteran Alvin James recently brought Making Better Communities, a nationwide grassroots campaign aimed at educating and empowering people to improve their quality of life in four areas - education, health, finance and technology - to the South Florida area.

Adelphia Cable, another nationwide supporter of Making Better Communities, teamed with MBC to take the tour to the St. Mary's Children's Hospital, where Gary, Holyfield, Fielder and James visited patients, doctors and parents from the hospital's pediatric wing.

"This is what our network is all about," Gary said while visiting patients in the hospital's pediatric care unit. "We want to have a positive impact on people's lives. We want everyone to know that our network is committed to instituting positive changes from within the community. We want to show people how they can instill a positive daily outlook that includes healthy living, the power of a good education, taking charge of personal finances and getting ahead through the use of today's technological advances."
