In celebration of our 30th Anniversary publishing year, THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine has established a $30,000 scholarship fund for elementary education majors at 10 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Our magazine will donate $1,500 scholarships to one male and female student each at the participating HBCUs, which have been featured in month-long fund-raising campaigns on the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Radio Show. The University Partners are Alabama State University, Alcorn State University, Benedict College, Bennett College, Clark Atlanta University, Dillard University, Fayetteville State University, Florida Memorial College, Virginia Union University, and Xavier University of Louisiana. We welcome donations from others who are concerned about this issue as well.

Our Advertiser Partners are a special group of advertisers who share a strong commitment to supporting THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine in providing African-American college students with valuable career and self-development information. They have placed ads in all three issues of our 30th Anniversary Publishing Year. The Advertiser Partners are Accenture, The Aerospace Corporation, Amerada Hess Corporation, Andersen, Blockbuster Entertainment, Dow Jones & Company, Motorola, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Philip Morris U.S.A., The Principal Financial Group, Procter & Gamble, SBC Communications, Sherwin Williams, State Farm Insurance Companies, Telcordia Technologies, United Airlines, United States Air Force, United States Marine Corps and Walgreens.

The 30th Anniversary Commemorative Issue Sponsors of THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine, April 2001 provided significant advertising support for this special issue. We appreciated their support a great deal and wanted you to know who these sponsors are.
