Why did you choose to join this company?
At the time I simply wanted the experience of working in a large professional services organization. As I worked in various areas I came to appreciate the special culture and the ability to make a difference.

How did it meet your expectations?
The Deloitte U.S. Firms exceeded my expectations. I have had several jobs, major opportunities, traveled the world and made a difference.

What does diversity in the workplace mean for you and how does your current employer meet those expectations?
Diversity has two major components for me. First – we have to win the war for talent with respect to race, gender and orientation. It is important that we have the representation or it will make the discussion theoretical. However, the concept of inclusion is just as important. We must develop an inclusive environment that allows and encourages everyone to grow.

In what capacity did you start working here? What was your first day on the job like?
I started as a technology Systems Analyst. The first day was fairly boring as I didn't have much to do! I actually wondered if I had made the right decision. The second day really started a varied and exciting career.

What were your challenges?
The main challenge was to build a network, establish myself and understand the goals of the organization.

How have you or circumstances changed since then?
I have progressed through the organization, the Deloitte U.S. Firms have grown tremendously and responsibilities have increased.

What are you proudest of about your organization? What's the best thing about working here? What is special?
The Deloitte U.S. Firms have a great culture…one that rewards initiative, hard work and an environment that allows you to really make a difference.
