HBCU Student Art:
Announcing HBCU Student Art Competition:

ReflectingFor the third year, the 2004 Verizon Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Student Art Competition, designed to foster the artistic gifts of young men and women, begins its search for entries during Black History Month. The grand prizewinner will receive a cash award and other invaluable opportunities to further cultivate his or her craft. In addition, on behalf of the winning student, the Verizon Foundation will award a $25,000 Foundation Art and Technology Grant, benefiting the school’s fine arts department. New for 2004, in the summer, an exciting new “People’s Choice” award component will allow visitors to www.verizon.com/artcompetition to cast their vote for their favorite semifinalist entry!
