Messages of Congratulations
Congratulations to THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine, as you celebrate 30
years of helping African-American students rise to success! Your magazine is a
powerful resource to encourage students to strive for excellence in their
education and career. Education was vital in my life and enabled all of my
dreams to come true. One of my inspirations was a wise man named Solomon, who once
said, “Gold is nice, silver is nice, rubies are nice. But to be cherished far above those are knowledge, wisdom and
understanding,” because Solomon knew that with knowledge, wisdom and
understanding, you will come to understand that the gold, silver, and rubies are
not really important in the Big Picture (of life).
It’s
far more important to develop your mind and your God-given talents to the point
where you become valuable to the people around you. Remember, education helps us understand the past, cope with
our present, and determine our future. Best
wishes to THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine, as you continue to direct our
youth toward the right path in life.
