Dear
Editor:
I
am a recent graduate of Howard University with a bachelor's in communications
and a minor of sports med. & administration of justice. I am writing to let
you know what I think of the 30th anniversary issue of THE BLACK COLLEGIAN. For
years, I have been a reader of THE BLACK COLLEGIAN.
It has always assisted me with planning my future.
I have found this issue {30th anniversary, April 2001} to be
especially helpful.
Many of the articles offer superb advice in the form of personal
experiences and tips.
The good thing about this is that it is coming to us from our peers as
well as our role models and future employers.
The article entitled "Reflections of Success" is a true
favorite.
Within this article, Tracy Edmonds, president/CEO of YabYum
Entertainment, provided readers with advice from her personal standpoint.
I found myself relating to her experiences while receiving helpful tips
that I can apply toward my career goals. Overall the entire magazine confronted
issues and concerns that I am sure many of us have in planning our futures,
while at the same time providing us with answers & solutions. Your magazine
has served the college community for over 30 years.
May you continue to be a positive force in our lives for many more years
to come.
P.S.-
I love the cover.
